Get ready to explore the wonders and delights of St. Louis, MO, a city filled with must-see landmarks and rich culture and heritage. No matter if you're here for a day or a week, there's plenty to keep your itinerary packed. Welcome to St. Louis. Let's explore.

Getting Around

If you're riding the rails, Amtrak's River Runner will take you right to the heart of the action to downtown St. Louis. The St. Louis Gateway Transportation Center provides easy access to the city's public transportation, including the MetroLink light rail and the local bus network.

Did you bring your own set of wheels? No problem! St. Louis is nationally recognized by the League of American Bicyclists as a Silver-level Bicycle Friendly Community. Cyclists can take advantage of the miles of trails, paths, and bikeways throughout the city, including the Katy Trail, the longest-developed rail-trail in the United States.

No matter how you arrived, once here, you'll find it easy to get around. Visitors can navigate popular districts and attractions by foot, car, or even riverboat. Consider taking a sightseeing tour to see for yourself!

Treat Your Tastebuds

St. Louis' food scene is the stuff of legends. We're home to James Beard winners and Michelin stars, and have been dubbed by national publications as the "Next Great Food City" (Food & Wine) and earned a coveted spot on Eater's globally ranked "Where to Eat in 2022" list.

While some foodies may know us best for our BBQ and brews (after all, we're the home of Anheuser-Busch and a craft beer scene that could quench the thirst of the most discerning brewmaster), our dining options have a global flair. Our local chefs serve up everything from Spanish Tapas and Peruvian cuisine to French delicacies and mouth-watering soul food.

Ready to sample it for yourself? Head to The Loop, a vibrant district known as "One of the 10 Great Streets in America". You'll find dozens of celebrated restaurants, nightlife, and entertainment options within these six blocks.

See the Sights

No trip to St. Louis would be complete without visiting Gateway Arch National Park. Guests can explore the historic Old Courthouse and Gateway Arch museum or hop on a replica of a 19th-century paddle-wheel riverboat. Top it off by riding the tram to the very top of our famous Gateway Arch, America's tallest monument (630 feet!), for a birds-eye view of the city and the mighty Mississippi river.

But don't put away your vacation bucket list just yet. St. Louis is also home to Forest Park, one of the nation's largest urban parks and a treasure trove of cultural riches. Within the park's 1,300 acres, you'll find the Saint Louis Art Museum, Missouri History Museum, Saint Louis Science Center, and the Saint Louis Zoo, an animal lover's paradise that houses almost 500 species. These impressive institutions offer world-renowned exhibits at a price point visitors appreciate — admission is free!

Looking for more fan-favorite activities? Good news, sports fans! In addition to Ballpark Village, a truly spectacular sports-themed dining and nightlife district, we host a roster of champion sports teams. Come to Busch Stadium to cheer on the St. Louis Cardinals, get your NHL fix with the St. Louis Blues, and be ready to welcome the city's first professional soccer team in their new downtown stadium: Give it up for St. Louis City SC!
