We’re known as a small town with a big soul for a reason. We’re home to historic civil war sites, the University of Central Missouri, five-star accommodations, and a downright charming shopping and entertainment district downtown. We’re even the “Home of Man’s Best Friend,” and to this day, pay tribute to Old Drum, a beloved hunting hound from the 1870s who is credited with being the original pup to inspire the phrase.
